In an effort to provide relief to those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, we are partnered locally with Austin Disaster Relief Network to help the thousands who have been displaced to Austin. In the Houston area, we are coordinating efforts with Ecclesia Church to bring relief to the many who could not evacuate and to continue with rebuilding efforts in the months to come.
You have an opportunity to Give & Go! You can “Give” any number of the supplies in the document listed below by dropping them off at our campuses. These items will help people who fled to Austin as well as people still living in the Houston area. Many of the supplies will be going to Ecclesia Church, located in the heart of Houston, to help those who are still in need. Additionally, we will be working with Ecclesia to plan relief trips to “Go” deliver supplies and help families who have been displaced. Just look for the Hurricane Harvey “Give & Go” sign in the lobby of the campus you attend to drop off your supplies or find out more information. Collection will be accepted on Sunday between 9 a.m and 1 p.m.
When you give regularly to Gateway, you help those in need. Beyond Hurricane Harvey relief, you’ve built homes, drilled water wells, built a hospital, and provided food and shelter for people displaced by other hurricanes and tsunamis. In fact 10% of everything you give each week goes directly to meeting needs like these, so we can be ready to respond when crisis hits. And although Hurricane Harvey relief efforts will be included as one of the areas we give to from the 10% we mentioned, we know those contributions will not cover the need. Because of that, if you want to give financially to Hurricane Harvey relief, above and beyond your normal contribution, click the button below.
