this message really moved me. I work offshore for 21 days out of a month, and then am home for 21. I am the only female out here and sometimes its challenging. I have had problems with a coworker and I found myself thinking this person is constantly out to get me–I was becoming calous back until I listened to this message. I believe there is nothing wrong with being a little on guard if someone is out to do you harm–but I am now going to offer my help to this person when needed. I am already praying for them and have been doing so for a while.

I loved this talk. I don’t see Ted very often, but his messages always reach me and take hold. The band’s performance of “Wake Up” was incredible… is there video?

I appreciate the message today, Ted. Three and a half years ago, I came to Gateway, looking for a way out of my problems. I tried to take care of these issues on my own; I told myself that I needed to ‘clean myself up’ before I could go to church. But that was a lie. The sermon that day was entitled, “When God opens a door.” Since then, I’ve learned that God’s door is always open; and, as the image of Christ was shown in the closing song today, I was reminded that all I have to do is turn to Him. If God opens the door, Jesus is the key:

The blood of Christ
is upon me;
His Grace has set
me free
from the depths of despair
that is worldly,
from the sins that
want me to be
blind to the light
of His love,
that beacon that shows
the Way
to the path that’s lined
with mercy
and paved with the blood
of Saints.

I love this church. It has inspired me in so many ways and I feel so much closer to God and Jesus everyday. Thank you Gateway for making me a better person.

It’s amazing how God works…..this message was for me (us). My gf and I have been going to a lot and recently broken up. Bad friends, devisive thoughts hit against each other so much that it’s led us where we are now. But swe both know we care for one another and we need God’s guidance. I care for my gf and I need God guidance.
