SERIES OVERVIEW
This summer, we’re celebrating the power of community through the stories of the teams who make Gateway what it is. As part of our annual Gateway Voices series, this year we’ll hear from every campus—North Austin, South Austin, and Buda—highlighting how groups/teams of ordinary people, working together, are making an extraordinary impact.
In 2025, we’re focusing on teams at our campuses—those who serve behind the scenes, lead with heart, and show up week after week to bring hope, healing, and hospitality to our church and our city. These stories will inspire you, challenge you, and show you the kind of church we are becoming—together.

South Austin Campus Voices
July 13th
This week, you’re going to meet some amazing folks from our South Kids Team Melanie (South Kids Director), and a family - Monica, Steve, and Madi. Their story is about more than serving, it’s about how volunteering changed their lives, brought their family closer, and opened doors into our community in ways they never expected.
From Melanie’s spiritual growth through volunteering to her leadership now multiplying that growth in others, to Monica’s journey from isolation to community and outreach as a school principal, and three generations of one family serving side by side—it's clear that when people step into serving, lives are transformed, relationships are built, and God’s presence multiplies inside and outside the church.

North Austin Campus Voices
July 20th
This week, you’re going to hear from a team that’s been growing in more ways than one…our Check-In Team at Gateway North. What started as a Sunday team helping families get their kids checked in has become something so much more.
They’ve built a community. They serve together beyond Sundays, celebrate life milestones together, and truly embody the kind of unity we all long for. They reflect the diversity of our city, speak multiple languages, and bring a joy that makes everyone, especially new families feel right at home.
Their story reminds us that when you show up, stay consistent, and care for each other, something powerful happens. You become more than a team, you become a family.

Buda Campus Voices
July 27th
This week, you’ll meet an amazing team that’s become known for something special here at Buda—homemade breakfast. Every Sunday, between services, they show up early to prepare tacos, parfaits, bakes…you name it.
But what they’re really doing is feeding people in more ways than one. They’re offering more than a meal. They’re creating a space where people feel seen, welcomed, and connected.
Their story reminds us that sometimes the simplest acts, like sharing food can open the door to deeper conversations, stronger community, and even life change.
