One Hit Wonders

All around each of us are things that can make us feel bound and stuck in our lives. And if we really dig deep, inside of every human being we’ll find a hole in our lives that can only be filled by the love of God. How can we begin to truly trust that the key to feeling both whole and free comes through saying yes to Jesus?

In life, it can be easy to focus on ourselves and try to work things out on our own. But following Jesus means a new way of living. What does it look like to surrender to God, and what kind of payoff does God promise those of us who choose that type of sacrifice?

Sometimes we find truly valuable things in the most unlikely of places. For some, it seems easy to skip over the shorter books of the Bible, but the reality is, one page of poetry, one page of a letter, and especially one page of Scripture can change the trajectory of a person’s life. The book of 2 John is no exception to this notion, as the book gives important ways we can love like Jesus did. How could learning to love like Jesus loves change your life and community?
