On July 5th, our church building will be closed so we can be the church in our community. Will you join us in taking the love of Christ beyond our walls?
Love Your Neighbor Food Drive
Gateway partners with local ministries throughout our city to help families experiencing food insecurity. This July, we invite you to turn a simple food drive into an opportunity to connect with your neighbors and make a meaningful impact together.
How It Works
Step 1: Invite Your Neighbors to Participate (Wednesday, July 1)
- Download the Food Drive flyer below and personalize it with your name and contact information if you'd like.
- Walk through your neighborhood or apartment community and place a flyer on your neighbors' doors.
- As you go, look for opportunities to introduce yourself and start conversations. The goal isn't just collecting food—it's building relationships with the people who live around you.
Step 2: Collect Donations (Saturday, July 4)
- Return to the homes where you left flyers and collect the grocery bags and donated food items.
- Use this second walk through your neighborhood as another opportunity to meet neighbors, thank them for participating, and continue building connections.
Step 3: Deliver to Gateway (Sunday, July 12)
- Bring the collected food donations to Gateway.
- We'll partner with one of our local ministry organizations to ensure the food reaches those who need it most.
Why Participate?
By taking part in the Neighborhood Food Drive, you'll have the opportunity to:
✅ Meet and connect with your neighbors
✅ Engage your community in meeting a real need in our city
✅ Support one of Gateway's local ministry partners in their mission
✅ Demonstrate the love of Jesus through practical acts of service
And who knows? A simple conversation on a doorstep could become an opportunity to encourage someone, pray with them, or even share your faith.
Together, we can make a difference—one neighbor, one conversation, and one grocery bag at a time.
