God has made the world incredibly intricate and beautiful, and He delights when we notice and enjoy it! As we stand in awe at the way the mountains tower over creation, causing us to catch our breath, to the satisfaction and joy that comes as we figure out the last few numbers needed to solve a complex math equation. Exploring every facet of God’s creation is a delight that can lead us to wonder and curiosity!
Teachers have the opportunity daily to delight themselves in the content they are teaching first, allowing for their own heart and mind to be caught up in the beauty of God’s ordered, beautiful world. Whether it’s preparing a grammar lesson, thinking through how to explain a math equation, introducing an element in the lab, or having students draw a color wheel, it all can lead the teacher to joy and ultimate awe of God as our creator!

Today, let’s pray for the teachers in our area schools. Pray that God would renew their passion for what they get to teach and deepen their curiosity. That they would be once again, or maybe for the first time, caught up in the noble, true, right, lovely, and admirable things. There are so many challenging aspects to a teacher’s job. Their hearts can be heavy with these challenges, which steal from the joy and beauty of teaching. Let’s pray for them to be uplifted in their hearts and minds, knowing that their perspective on what they are teaching is passed on to their students. If God can reignite the vision and passion of the teachers, it not only encourages the teacher but it shapes the next generation!
