Serve Others with Others

Serve Others with Others

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:12

Whether it’s in holding a door, teaching our kiddos, or playing an instrument, we each are an integral part of the Pflugerville Pfamily. Serving gives us an opportunity to bless others as we connect into the community. So whether it’s your second week or your hundredth, we’d love to get you connected to Serve Others with Others. Here are some of the ways you can serve with us:

Within Our Community

  • A-Team: Our setup & teardown crew are the backbone that makes Sunday services possible. Lend a hand by helping us before services or afterwards.
  • Arts & Production: If you’re a musician or technically-minded, we’d love to have you jump into serving alongside our worship and tech teams. No professional experience required; we can train you!
  • Connection & Guest Experience: Hospitality goes a long way, whether in extending a smile or making a connection. If you enjoy welcoming others, join our Connection & Guest Experience team.
  • Kids: Our little ones are our future. Join us in investing in their lives, by planting seeds for a lifetime. Serve with kids!
  • Students: As we develop a monthly rhythm of opportunities for Middle School & High School students, help us shape the lives of students and the culture of our Student Community.

Beyond Our Community

  • Border Encounters: Join us as we learn and serve alongside migrants in El Paso & Juarez. Though covid has limited our opportunities, we hope to return again in the coming months.
  • Dessau Middle School: Whether it’s in being a mentor to a student or creating opportunities to serve educators, serve with us as we invest in our local schools.
  • Mercy Network: This is a community of passionate servants who rally around the needs that arise within our community and in our city. Here are some opportunities within Mercy Network:
    • Senior Home, Assisted Living Center: Care for our elderly neighbors by being a presence of peace or responding to tangible needs within the Center. Some type of opportunities include: weekly Bible Study, monthly Bingo Nights, and Hair Cut events from time-to-time.
    • Circle of Hope, Food Pantry: Care for our under-resourced neighbors by serving with our local Pflugerville food pantry. Whether its collecting donations or serving in person, its a great opportunity to serve.
    • English as a Second Language: Care for our migrant neighbors by teaching or supporting ESL classes in our local Pflugerville ESL program. No requirements beyond speaking and writing English.
    • Refugees: Care for our refugee neighbors by pairing up with families in our city. We also do collections and drives focused on serving the needs of these families.

(These opportunities beyond our community is also known as City-Serve)

Wherever you serve, join us as we Serve Others with Others. To get more information on any of these opportunities & sign up to serve, let us know.
