Every year we bring in some amazing people to hear their story and how God is using them in their sphere of influence. This year we wanted to hear from people who live in Austin and are making a difference here in our city and beyond.
- Killing Your Comfort – Jaime Schwarz on July 9th: Your Spiritual Growth doesn’t happen by accident. Jamie has been active in recovery since first working through the 12 steps 18 years ago. She has since sponsored countless others through the program and has been an advocate for building up our recovery program here at Gateway.
- Living a Life of Wonder – Clint Phillips on July 16th: In the wake of a medical emergency, Clint and his wife were shocked at the difficulty in accessing a pediatric neurologist.This led him on a journey to found “2nd.MD” and later “Medici” which provides 9 million Americans to free access to the world’s best doctors.
- Everyone’s An Artist – Don Tate on July 23rd: Don is an award-winning author and the illustrator of numerous critically acclaimed books for children and a founding host of The Brown Bookshelf, a blog dedicated to advocating for books created by African American youth literature creators.
- Connect Sunday to your Monday – Ted Beasley on July 30th: Along with being one of the founders of Gateway Church, Ted Beasley is the founder and Lead Instructor of EmergentExecs, coaching hundreds of emerging and senior leaders. As a consultant, he has brought strategic and financial expertise to small businesses and Fortune 500 companies.He has launched many business ventures across the globe.
