SERIES OVERVIEW
Who is God—really? In a world full of confusion, shifting values, and endless voices claiming to have the truth, the letter of 1 John cuts through the noise with clarity and confidence. God is—and He wants to be known. This three-week series unpacks the character of God through the lens of 1 John, helping us fill in the blank with timeless truth. When we know who God is, we begin to understand who we are and how we’re meant to live. He’s everything we’ve all been looking for, whether we realize it or not.

God Is Light
April 27
The invitation to walk in the light isn’t just about moral purity—it’s about living authentically, in communion with God and others. When we walk in God’s light, we find that our lives are aligned with His truth, and we experience true fellowship with Him and with each other. It’s not about perfection, but about embracing His light in our lives, letting it guide us through the shadows of this world.

God Is Hope
May 4
The world is full of uncertainties, but in Jesus, we have a certain and secure hope that transcends anything this world can offer. The hope that we have in Christ is not wishful thinking—it’s certain, future hope. Hope isn’t just something we look forward to; it also changes how we live now. Because of the hope we have in Christ, we are called to purify ourselves, to live with an eternal perspective that influences how we handle the challenges of today.

God Is Love
May 11
God’s love is not just a feeling or an abstract concept; it is who He is. John tells us, “God is love.” The real, genuine love that we are called to extend to others flows directly from the love God has shown us through Jesus Christ. This love isn't about mere emotion—it is sacrificial, selfless, and transformative.

God Is Truth
May 18
Truth isn’t merely a concept; it’s a person—Jesus Christ. God’s truth is relational, not just informational. It’s not a set of doctrines to memorize but a life to encounter, and a God to know. To walk in truth is to walk in alignment with Him—His nature, His character, and His revelation through Jesus.
