Gateway is launching a new campus in Pflugerville in 2019! We are seeking to create a new place in Greater Austin for people to explore faith, ask spiritual questions, and begin to connect in community with others. Jon Eng will serve as the campus pastor and will be building community over the next several months with anyone interested in being part of a launch team. If you would like to find out more, please let him know.
We have not yet identified a location for this campus. Currently, we are pursuing God’s vision of the church as “people first,” with the location of this new campus still to be determined. It’s a great time to join us during this crucial phrase, and we’d love to hear from you!
GET TO KNOW JON ENG:
Jonathan Eng currently serves as the Grow Pastor at Gateway Church, South campus and will be leading our efforts to develop a new Campus for Gateway in Pflugerville. He holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, and he previously served as the Pilot Project Director for Asian American Ministries with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. His experience includes coaching culture change, leading a thriving Asian American ministry at the University of Texas at Austin, and planting an International Student Ministry. He has also served overseas as an associate program director with Educational Services Exchange in China and mobilized parachurch and church ministries for missions. In an increasingly divided and post-Christian world, his journey with Christ has led him to pursue biblical reconciliation and missions. He feels called to develop communities that grow out of reaching diverse cultures with faith and bringing the healing, love, and justice of Jesus into our world. When he and his wife aren’t chasing around their little one, Adeline, they love to explore nature and take hikes with their two dogs, Squishy and Mocha. Jon’s hobbies include basketball, drinking coffee, traveling, reading, and trying new foods. Some fun facts about Jon are that he has a twin brother and a double-jointed pinky.
