Message Series: Healthy Spirituality

What are the basics every person of faith needs to understand to become the person God created them to be? With so much chaos, division, and conspiracy theories all around us, it is good to get back to the basics – to simplify life. When we choose to follow Jesus, we have the opportunity to live life Following the Spirit, In the Scriptures, In Intentional Community, and Living Generously.

  • May 22: Following the Spirit – God is everywhere! Even more miraculous, the Spirit of God comes to guide all who follow Jesus. We can discover what God has for us in the future and the wisdom we need now when we learn how to “keep in step with the Spirit.”
  • May 29: In the Scriptures – God speaks to us and reveals His character through the Scriptures. When we discover how to read and apply the Bible, we learn how to hear God’s Word to us. There are specific ways to engage the Scriptures in order to discover what God has for us.
  • June 5: In Intentional Community – In a fast-growing city or county, it can be easy to get lost in the crowd and experience loneliness. We need to be intentional about engaging in a community that is both confessional and missional. A confessional community allows you to share your heart and struggles. Being missional means seeking to B.L.E.S.S. our neighbors on our own and together as a community.
  • June 12: Living Generously – Everyone needs/wants more money, time, and energy. What if the ways the world teaches us to “gain more” are not actually going to help us “experience more?” God’s ways and all God says about living generously shows that “more” is a matter of the heart. God gives us resources to teach our hearts how to love Him and love people.
